Individuals
Technology Assisting People In Need focuses on serving individuals who are economically disadvantaged or disabled, by providing computer units (systems). Some of the recipients of these computer units include:
| Students needing a computer to do homework | |
| Students who engage in “distance learning” by taking classes over the internet | |
| Students with Attention Deficit Disorder | |
| Special Needs Students | |
| Single Mothers (Some of which were in the Every Child Succeeds Program) | |
| Adults who want to gain and develop computer skills in order to re-enter into the work force in a new career | |
| Disabled individuals who may require some assistive technology (individuals with limited mobility and/or low vision, or macular degeneration) |
Some of these individuals have been referred to TAPIN by:
| Governmental Agencies (like the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services) | |
| Private Social Service Agencies (like Every Child Succeeds and the International Center of Greater Cincinnati) | |
| Agencies, which only serve organizations, or a limited group of individuals (Crayons to Computers, and ReSource) |
If you feel you fit into any of these general classifications or would like more information about receiving a computer system or would like more information about the services TAPIN offers, please print out and fill out the form below, and then return it to the enclosed address.
